“I totally agree.Scientists are playing with nature and they have no idea of the unintended consequences.BT Corn. Sure it contains a pesticide. Also kills monarch butterflies.Anti-fungal gene in certain vine crops - caused them to be more attractive to beetles.These are just some of the less-dangerous unintended consequences. Wait til a stupid brain-invading altered virus like this decides to mutate or trade genes with another virus.

Obama and the Democrats will do their best to put the dollar into cardiac arrest by printing money like mad to fund their unsustainable programs. Along with the coming economic armageddon when the bulk of the baby boomers retire and send Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security through the roof, the dollar is going to look almost like play money. However, I hope there is enough buffer so that the US people will learn from this and swing back to more fiscally conservative policies of decreased government spending and taxation. If there isn't enough buffer, this is the start of the end of the USA as the country we know now because it will tear itself apart under the economic stress.!

This is so cool. I mean it might take a bit of creativity on the part of the designers, which I am starting to think that the US has completely run out of.... But why not make the bar code be part of the product label design, instead of just an ugly block.Japan may have some crazy ideas, but sometimes these crazy ideas are just what are needed to show the rest of the world the design possibilities. (Then again looking at some of the other stuff.....)?

Digg has finance and business sections. They have been here for years.You can go into settings and filter them out if you do not want to see them. Some people just pare the topics down to just technology subjects, like it was originally.

Thank you for all that "pity" and "advice", world. But perhaps Indians don't see things the way others might. What's the point of preserving something simply because it's old? What makes things Indians do/build now any less worthy or valuable than what their ancestors did? Perhaps Westerners see it like this because they feel disconnected from their own history so they want to preserve everything. For India, it's all a continuum. Ancestors aren't any more special than people living today and history and culture don't just vanish. Progress needs to be made. |
