The Senate made the right decision. The purpose of the census is not to count citizens, but to count and record demographic data of people living in the country. Sure, it sounds like an entirely reasonable question and the data would be good, but it's already hard enough to get data on illegals and the presence of this question would likely freak them out more. It's a lesser of two evils situations: ask for citizenship data and only be able to record half the number of illegals (and, since the govt is expected to go to great lengths to get this data, end up costing a lot more), or don't ask it and get a more accurate census.
He should probably also stop flying around the world in his carbon-spewing jet while he's at it.

It's interesting that most of the public has accepted that marijuana is not dangerous, but some people still "feel" like some other harmless drugs are bad. I guess it's hard to unlearn what you are taught at an early age.Albert Hoffman, the inventor of LSD lived to be 102 and he tripped many times. He also had a highly distinguished academic career. Drugs are not the boogie man they are made out to be.

This only analyzed ppl with 1 prosthetic and 1 biological leg. So of course the legs would have to be similar in stride and energy output etc otherwise u'd have a very uneven gait. If you had 2 prosthetic legs (I believe they use a whole different kind of prosthetic) then the outcomes should be much different. Someone should provide an article cus I think they are.

Managers need to get over their lazy worker paranoia. Just about everyone I know could accomplish 50% or more of their jobs remotely at whatever hours were convenient for them. That's the kind of set up I have at work. I work 4:30 am to 10 am remotely from home because I just naturally wake up that early. If I need to, I go into the office for a few hours in the afternoon. If nothing is going on that requires me to be there in person, I'll log back on for a few more hours in the afternoon. I work about 50 hours per week, but feel like I have more free time than I did when I was stuck working part time for almost a year. |
