The poor nations are the ones who are experiencing over population problems not nations like the UK which are developed and have a fairly well educated population. The population growth rate for most western developed nations has been either flat or in the negative for a very long time now. The more educated a person is the more likely they are to put off having children. They also limit how many children they have when they do have them. It is the poor and uneducated who tend to have children early and often.
